Barb Gajdos

BEd, Secondary Mathematics, UofCCalgary Highschool Teacher (25+ years)

Barb has taught Mathematics from grade 7-12 at several schools in Calgary. She has served as an advisor, contributing author, reviewer and field tester for McGraw-Hill Ryerson and their entire line of Mathematics textbooks from grades 8-12. Well versed in the math curriculum, she has worked on several projects ranging from adapted programs to gifted programs to teacher resource material.

Barb currently teaches High School but her experience with the younger grades enables her to break down the high school material into easy to understand concepts. You can expect a unique perspective to this course filled with many tips and tricks to help you finish the course successfully.

Gina Mackechnie

Gina has been working with RTD for multiple years and currently spends her days at Strathcona High School in Edmonton. She has been teaching math at all levels (calculus and statistics included) for 8 years, 3 of those being in England.

Gina graduated from the University of Alberta and is currently working on her Masters for Mathematics Teachers through the University of Waterloo. She is an energetic and competent teacher who likes to involve her students in her lessons as much as possible. She feels that open lines of communication between teacher and student create a comfortable environment to learn in.

During her spare time Gina likes to hang out with her young son, garden, run and watch Game of Thrones! Gina looks forward to working with you at Rock the Diploma!
