Leila Donnegan


With a bachelors degree in Biology and experience working in research labs, I developed a passion for teaching science and really love helping students prepare for the diploma exam. I have been teaching and developing resources for the Science 30 diploma exam for the past 20 years. These days I keep busy walking/hiking with my family and our two dogs.

Chris Ferguson

B.Ed, University of Alberta (Teaching major in Physics)Archbishop MacDonald High School (15+ years teaching experience)

Chris is a teacher who looks forward to each and every class he teaches. A self-admitted "science nerd", Chris loves to share his interest in the wonders of the physical world. Through storytelling, current research, and a fresh theoretical outlook to the course his goal is to have his students leave class with the same passion he has for the subject. Chris' background with Alberta Education includes both marking and question development for the Physics 30 diploma. Chris also has experience teaching and marking Science 30 Away from the traditional classroom Chris finds his second part of his job at the hockey rink. Passionate towards the game of hockey Chris is a Lead Instructor for the St. Francis Xavier High School Hockey Academy. Whether teaching a wrist shot or a complex physics concept, Chris' passion towards teaching is evident and his students find themselves leaving class much more confident in their skills!
